Jesus did not only speak about love. He showed us what love looks like through service.
He fed the hungry, welcomed the rejected, comforted the hurting and cared for people others often overlooked. He even washed His disciples’ feet, choosing the humble position of a servant.
“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve.”— Mark 10:45
Serving does not always require money, special training or a large commitment. It may mean preparing a meal, sorting donations, offering a listening ear or giving a few hours of our time.
Jesus reminds us that when we care for someone in need, we are also serving Him.
“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”— Matthew 25:40
Some of the most meaningful acts of love may never receive attention or recognition, but they are always seen by God.
Our communities are filled with people who are hungry, lonely, grieving, struggling with poverty or experiencing homelessness. We may not be able to solve every problem, but we can choose to notice, care and take one meaningful step.

We do not have to change the entire world in one day.
We can begin by showing love to the person God has placed in front of us.
A Prayer
Jesus, open my eyes to the needs around me. Give me a willing heart, compassionate hands and the humility to serve others with genuine love.
Show me where my time and abilities can bring comfort, dignity and hope. Let my service be an expression of Your love.
Amen.
